Deerleap - Bed & Breakfast

The closest accommodation to Monkey World and the Tank Museum, Deerleap Bed and Breakfast is also ideal for exploring the Dorset Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with the stunning  beaches of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door 10 minutes’ drive away. Wool mainline railway station is one mile away.

There is a wealth of places to visit within easy driving distance, whatever your tastes, from National Trust properties to sports facilities.

Deerleap is 5 miles from the South West Coast Path, (set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), a practically unspoilt coastline, with unparalleled walks and beaches. For more gentle walkers we have the advantage of coast, river and woodland walks on the doorstep.

The towns of Weymouth, Dorchester, Blandford Forum, Wimborne Minster, Poole, Bournemouth and Swanage are all within 30 minutes drive, as is the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, with it’s sensational coast line, miles of sandy beaches at Studland, steam railway and historic Corfe Castle.

The local market town of Wareham, lying on the River Frome, is close by, and provides historic interest in addition to small local shops and restaurants.

Double En Suite
Deerleap nestles in the countryside one mile from the village of Wool. It provides seclusion in a clearing of nearby woods. The garden is large, bordered on one side by a stream, across which you can often see Sika deer and ponies grazing. There are places to relax in the garden, when the weather is good, and abundant birdlife to enjoy in this unspoilt corner of south Dorset.

There is plenty of parking space, including trailers if required. Motorbikes can be accommodated under cover in the barn. A well behaved dog may also be accommodated by prior arrangement – please ask when enquiring about booking.

Double and twin rooms (with a third smaller bed) have en suite shower and lavatory; remote control TV and Wifi connection; coffee and tea making facilities and a hair dryer. A travel cot and high chair are available, if required.

Robin is renowned for his freshly cooked breakfasts, and we cater for all tastes. Please let us know of any special requirements when booking. Breakfast is served in the conservatory overlooking the garden, where there is also an area to relax.

For evening meals, there are local pubs within walking distance that offer good meals. At weekends and bank holidays it is advisable to book ahead. (Details upon booking.) If you would like a cream tea on arrival (available from 4 – 5 p.m) please enquire when booking. (Cream tea is £4.00 per person.)

Robin and Maggie offer a warm welcome, enjoy sharing their home and endeavour to make your stay a success. We look forward to meeting you!
